Most columns are illustrated with photographs by Aireen, and as the gardening season progresses, more photos from the magical realm of the gardener will appear. You can read The Hot Potato here on our website or in the Chicago area, where it is published every Friday in the Filipino American newspaper The Fil-Am Weekly Megascene. 09-Feb-07 BOOK REVIEW: Anastasia And The Ringing Cedars Series
STAR TREK MEETS THE BIBLE. BEST BOOKS OF ALL TIME! A book review of Anastasia and The Ringing Cedars book series by Vladimir Megre. Pronounced Ana-sta-SI-ya, Megre and Anastasia take their readers on a life-changing, personal journey into truths of Nature, sexuality, spirituality, child-rearing, education, planting a personal healing garden, the power of each human being, and more. (Correction for pdf version: It was brought to our attention by a reader that we made two errors in this article. First, the percentages of fruits and vegetables cited were grown not just by dachniks, but by farm workers, as well. Second, we say that Anastasia has been credited with helping to start the growing Russian ecovillage movement, but apparently it has been alive and growing since at least the early-to-mid 1980’s. Anastasia has just helped it along! We’ve made the corrections on the web version, and thank you to our friend at Biointensive For Russia for setting the record straight!)
